glory hole mining method: グローリー?ホール（採鉱｛さいこう｝）法◆露天掘り採鉱法の一種で、丘陵地に比較的細い鉱脈が露出しているときに有効である。丘陵地の下から水平に坑道を掘り、鉱脈の下で垂直に鉱石を落とす穴を掘る。このとき、砕いた鉱石を下に落とすための、じょうご型になった穴をグローリー?ホール(glory hole)と呼ぶ。
